An Understanding of 1 Timothy 1:1-2:
1 Timothy 1:1-2, "Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope; 2 unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord." (American Standard Version; ASV).
In considering this scripture, it is important to first consider Romans 1:1, "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God," (ASV) which shows that Paul was a servant of Jesus (Yeshua) Christ; having been personally called by Christ after his resurrection by his Father as shown at John 6:62, "What then if ye should behold the Son of man ascending where he was before?" (ASV)? 1 Corinthians 15:12-21 clearly show that Christ was raised from the dead by his Father, Almighty God (YHWH) as follows, "Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead." (Authorized King James Bible; AV); as can be seen, Almighty God (YHWH), an entity separate from Jesus (Yeshua) Christ, raised Jesus (Yeshua) Christ from the dead as clearly testified to in 1 Corinthians 15:15 - above.
This same truth; to wit, that Almighty God (YHWH) raised his only begotten Son, Jesus (Yeshua) Christ, from the dead is also clearly testified to at Galatians 1:1, "Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead)," (ASV). Once more showing that Almighty God (YHWH) was the superior one who resurrected his only begotten Son, a separate and distinct entity, from the grave. Titus 1:1-4 says, "Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal; 3 but in his own seasons manifested his word in the message, wherewith I was intrusted according to the commandment of God our Saviour; 4 to Titus, my true child after a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour." (ASV). Which clearly shows two distinct entities or spirit beings as granting "grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour." This is in accordance with what Jesus (Yeshua) himself showed about his Father at Matthew 4:9-10, "and he said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." (ASV); clearly showing that his Father, Almighty God (YHWH), was greater than he, Jesus (Yeshua), was and deserved all worship. This is in harmony with John 14:28, "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I." ((Authorized King James Bible; AV), where Jesus (Yeshua) Christ himself openly testified that his Father, Almighty God (YHWH), was greater then he was, and also, clearly showing the two were distinct and separate entities.
And Colossians 1:27, "to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (ASV), which clearly shows that Almighty God (YHWH), as the Father, was pleased to make known his Son, Jesus (Yeshua) Christ, a separate entity. This, the Father being well pleased with his Son, Jesus (Yeshua) Christ, is clearly testified to at Philippians 2:9-11, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (ASV); clearly testifying to the fact that Jesus' (Yeshua's) Father, Almighty God (YHWH), gave him a name "which is above every name," and stating that "that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." So as can readily be seen, Almighty God (YHWH), the Father, wanted all to know that Jesus (Yeshua) is lord to the glory of God the Father." And, last, 2 John 3 shows that, "Grace, mercy, peace shall be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love." Avs1 from two distinct entities - "from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father."
