The Devil Wants The Truth About The Bible Hidden:
INTRODUCTION:
Let's face it, the Devil does not want Almighty God's (YHWH's) book of guidance to be read by the masses. So? It is reasonable to assume that he and his wicked associates and human cohorts would seek to cause people to question its reliability and credibility.
Also, it is reasonable that he and his 'gang' would do everything to corrupt the Inspired Word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Creator of All there is, the Bible, and try to misled and turn people away from Almighty God (YHWH). And indeed he has through the centuries; to wit, various individuals have tried to add to certain verses and books.
But, now the question is, did they succeed in corrupting the words of Almighty God (YHWH)? Would Almighty God (YHWH) allow them to do so? NO! Throughout the Holy Scriptures, Almighty God (YHWH) affirms that he would preserve his words such as at Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." (Authorized King James Bible; AV); and at 1 Peter 1:24-25, "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (AV). Likewise, the takeoff from the Bible, the Qur'an says at Sura 6:34, [PICKTHAL version] Messengers indeed have been denied before thee, and they were patient under the denial and the persecution till Our succour reached them. There is none to alter the decisions of Allah. Already there hath reached thee (somewhat) of the tidings of the messengers (We sent before).
Thus, all attempts to change Almighty God's (YHWH's) words have come to nothing because it is inconceivable that Almighty God (YHWH) would permit any manipulation of his words. Therefore we can rest assured that the text of the Bible is authentic by taking a closer look at the old manuscripts that still exist. When we do, we will note the accuracy with which the Bible has been copied.
MANUSCRIPT EVIDENCE AND WHAT IT SHOWS:
From the start, manuscripts (scrolls, Codex's, etc.) were handwritten copies made of the original texts of the Inspired Word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Creator of All there is, the Bible. This was done under Almighty God's (YHWH's) direction so that his guidance would be known and followed by man per Deuteronomy 17:18, "And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:" (AV). The copyist were extremely meticulous in their work. For example, early Hebrew copyists even counted each letter in the Torah to prevent mistakes from creeping in when manuscripts were being copied. Each time they copied one, they would count the letters in their copy and compare it with that of the original to make sure that both were identical. It is reported that they counted 815,140 individual letters in the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament). In the first century C.E., aj and his followers quoted from the copies on hand without expressing any doubt at all concerning the accuracy of the text. As examples see Acts 17:1-3, "Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ." (AV); Luke 4:16-21, "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears." (AV). Yes, the precision of those who have copied the Bible over the centuries has contributed toward an accurate transmission of the text down to our day.
In fact, by studying the thousands of manuscripts that exist in our time and comparing them with one another, we can see that the original text has been accurately handed down to us. Existing today are over 6,000 manuscripts of either all the Hebrew Scriptures and/or parts thereof. The Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in 1947, have demonstrated that the centuries of copying and recopying have not distorted Almighty God's (YHWH's) message.
Also, more than 13,000 manuscripts of the Greek Scriptures (New Testament) are not available today. A study of them clearly shows that the original text of the Christian Greek Scriptures has been preserved with great accuracy. For example, the Institute for New Testament Textual Studies in Germany has made about 95 percent of its approximately 5,300 handwritten copies of the Christian Greek Scriptures available for scientific study, either on microfilm or with photographs. A comparison of them shows just how exact the transmission of the Bible text down to our day has been. The interval of time between the original writing of the Christian Greek Scriptures is extremely short, in many cases not more than 25 years.
CONCLUSION:
The Bible is NOT the product of one committee or strongman. It has over 40 individual writers who wrote under divine inspiration/guidance putting the thoughts of God (YHWH) into the words of men much as transcribing secretaries today taking transcription and then later typing it out. In other words one real author, God (YHWH), and many scribes each of whom wrote in his own style over a period of approximately 1,600 years. All of what people call or consider inconsistencies are really not such, but most often just a problem of translation and/or understanding, i.e., lack of understanding of what the original writer writing in his own language and culture meant/said in his original writing. What is remarkable, is the writers over such a period of time all wrote in harmony when even most posters on threads on this forum can not even stay on track or subject over a period of a few days and/or weeks at most with the original subject of the thread. This fact of harmony over a period so great as to almost stagger the imagination shows that it had one guiding force or author who divinely inspired its writers as humans of their own volition can not keep on track over short periods of time.
To wit, the Bible is the ONLY book God (YHWH) ever inspired men to write as his scribes. In other words, God is its author and men only put his thoughts given to them by divine inspiration into their own words, the words of men. Not only that, all the other writers of later so called religious guidance books borrowed from it and made changes in accord with their strong man or so called prophet. Take the example of Joseph Smith who borrowed from it to write the Book of Mormon, but failed to give credit or source to the Bible and twisted some borrowed things into bizarre distortions. Other examples are of course the bizarre writings of David Koresh the Prophet of the Branch Dividians of Waco, Texas; and the Bible takeoff, the Quran.
