The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived, Jesus (Yeshua) - Peoples Opinions Of Him:
INTRODUCTION:
Jesus (Yeshua) Christ was the greatest man who ever lived, and this fact is testified to by many people of different nationalities, times, and religions.
Now let us look at what a few had to say about him by individuals of different nationalities, times, and religions.
WHAT PEOPLE SAID ABOUT HIM:
"Jesus Christ, to me, is the outstanding personality of all times, all history, both as Son of God and as Son of Man. Everything He ever said or did has value for us today, and that is something you can say of no other man, alive or dead."
By Sholem Asch, Polish-born essayist as quoted in the Christian Herald.
"For thirty five years of my life I was, in the proper acceptation of the word, nihilist, a man who believed in nothing. Five years ago my faith came to me. I believed in the doctrine of Jesus Christ and my whole life underwent a sudden transformation." By Count Leo Tolstoy, Russian novelist and philosopher.
"A man who was completely innocent offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies and became the ransom of the world. It was a perfect act." By Mohandas K. Gandhi, a Hindu political and spiritual leader of India.
"It would require much exotic calculation, however, to deny that the single most powerful figure - not merely in those two millenniums, but in all human history - has been Jesus of Nazareth." By Reynolds Price, American writer and Bible scholar.
"Jesus of Nazareth…is easily the dominant figure in history." By H. G. Wells, English historian extraordinary.
"Christ stands … solitary and alone among all the heroes of history." By Philip Schaff, Swiss-born theologian and historian.
"As a child, I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene." By Albert Einstein, German - born scientist and mathematician extraordinary.
"[Jesus'] life is the most influential ever lived on this planet and its effects continue to mount." By Kenneth Scott Latourette, American historian and author.
"Shall we suppose the evangelic history a mere fiction? Indeed, my friend, it bears not the marks of fiction. On the contrary, the history of Socrates, which nobody presumes to doubt, is not so well attested as that of Jesus Christ." By Jean-Jacques Rousseau, French philosopher extraordinary.
CONCLUSION:
Jesus (Yeshua) Christ was, without doubt, the greatest man who ever lived. Also, he was the most peace loving man of all times. Most of the other so called great men were nothing but mighty military men who lusted for violence and were endowed with great hate and greed - such men as the false prophet Muhammad, Alexander the Great, etc. However, Jesus (Yeshua) Christ, who was the greatest of all, was filled with love and compassion for ALL, even his enemies and even said, at Matthew 5:43-44, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" (Authorized King James Bible, AV).
