Creation – The Way Almighty God (YHWH) Created Heaven and Earth
First, most of the questions you asked can only be answered one way, a superior intelligence, Almighty God (YHWH) created energy out of nothing and the same goes for the universe and all else. Now let’s look at some facts!
Scientists have learned that matter is a concentrated form of energy. This is demonstrated with the explosion of nuclear weapons. Astrophysicist Josip Kleczek states,
<<“Most and possibly all elementary particles may be created by materialization of energy.” [source – The Universe, Vol. II, p. 17, 1976]>>
From where could such energy come? After asking,
“Who has created these things [ the universe and all that is in it]?”
the inspired word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Bible, states regarding Almighty God (YHWH) at Isaiah 40:26, “Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.,” (American Standard Version; ASV). So Almighty God (YHWH) himself is the source of all the ‘dynamic energy’ that was needed to create the universe.
Now some who do NOT comprehend and/or understand the Bible think the universe was created in six (6) literal days, but the facts disagree with such an absurd conclusion: [1] Light from the Andoromeda nebula can be seen on a clear night in the northern hemisphere, yet it takes about 2,000,000 years for that light to reach the earth, indicating that the universe must be at least millions of years old; [2] End products of radioactive decay in rocks in the earth testify that some rock formations have been undisturbed for billions of years.
Genesis 1:3-31 is NOT discussing the original creation of matter and/or of the heavenly bodies. It only describes the preparation of the already existing earth for human habitation. This included creation of the basic kinds of vegetation, marine life, flying creatures, land animals, and the first human pair. All of this is said to have been done within a period of six ‘days.’ However, the ancient Hebrew word translated ‘day’ has a variety of meanings, including ‘a long time; the time covering an extrodinary event.’ [reference source – Old Testament Word Studies, by W. Wilson, p. 109, 1978 at Grand Rapids, Michigan]. The term used allows for the thought or possibility that each ‘day’ could have been thousands of years in length.
Now here is the exact wording of Genesis 1:3-31, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit–trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:
15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created the great sea–monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.
23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food:
30 and to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for food: and it was so.
31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.” (American Standard Version; ASV).
Second, Now some may ask why the great similarities in the structure of living things?
The Bible answers this clearly by showing all had a common maker in the following scriptures:
Ephesians 3:9, “and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things;” (ASV)
John 1:3, “All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.” (ASV).
Proverbs 8:22, “Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old.” (ASV).
Proverbs 8:30-31, “Then I was by him, as a master workman; And I was daily his delight, Rejoicing always before him,
31 Rejoicing in his habitable earth; And my delight was with the sons of men.” (ASV).
So as can be seen from the above, there is great similarities among living things because they have a common creator.
Third, Some may ask, did Almighty God (YHWH) create all the millions of varieties?
Genesis chapter 1 simply says that Almighty God (YHWH) created each “according to its kind.’
Now let’s look at some of the actual scriptures in this chapter.
Genesis 1:12, “And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good.” (ASV).
Genesis 1:21, “And God created the great sea–monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.” (ASV).
Genesis 1:24-25, “And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.” (ASV).
In fact, in preparation for the global flood in Noah’s day, Almighty God (YHWH) directed that representative members of each ‘kind’ (not species) of land animal and flying creature be taken into the ark as recorded at,
Genesis 7:2-3 and 14, “Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee seven and seven, the male and his female; and of the beasts that are not clean two, the male and his female:
3 of the birds also of the heavens, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.” And “they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.” (ASV).
Each ‘kind’ has the genetic potential for great variety. Thus there are reportedly more than 400 different breeds of dogs and upwards of 250 breeds and types of horses. All interfertile varieties of any animal are just one Genesis ‘kind.’ Similarly, all varieties of humans – Oriental, African, Caucasian, those as tall as the seven-foot Kinka in the Sudan and as short as the four-foot-four- inch Pygamies – all stem from the one original pair, Adam and Eve as recorded at,
Genesis 1:27-28, “And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (ASV).
And, Genesis 3:20, “And the man called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. (humans)” (ASV).
Fourth, Now does the the inspired word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Bible, allow for the idea that Almighty God (YHWH) used evolution to produce the various ‘kinds’ of living things? Well let’s look at the scriptures to find out.
Genesis 1:11-12, “And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit–trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good.” (ASV).
Genesis 1:21 and 24-25, “And God created the great sea–monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.” And “And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.” (ASV).
As can be seen, there is no allowance here for basic kind to evolve or change into another, but only for variances within a ‘kind.’
Regarding man, Genesis 1:26 reports that Almighty God (YHWH) said,
Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (ASV).
So he was to have godlike qualities, not traits that were simply a development of those of a beast. And Genesis 2:7 adds,
Genesis 2:7, “And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (ASV).
As can be seen, there is no hint of evolution here, but, rather, description of a new creation.
Fifth, Now let’s us reason together. If you found a precision timepiece, would you conclude that it was formed by a chance blowing together of some dust particles? Obviously, you would well know that someone with intelligence made it. There is an even more magnificent ‘clock.’ The planets in our solar syste, also the start in the entire universe, move at a rate that is more precise than most clocks designed and manufactured by man. The galaxy in which our solar system is located includes over 100 billion stars, and astronomers estimate that there are more than 100 billion such galaxies in the universe! If a clock is evidence of intelligent design, how much more so is the far more vast and complicated universe! The inspired word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Bible, describes the Designer of it as “the true God, Almighty God (YHWH)…the Creator of the heavens and the Grand One stretching them out.” This fact is clearly shown at,
Isaiah 42:5, “Thus saith God Jehovah, he that created the heavens, and stretched them forth; he that spread abroad the earth and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:” (ASV).
Isaiah 40:26, “Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.” (ASV).
Psalms 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork.” (ASV).
