Do we have any Passover celebrators? Passover goes way back, to ancient Egypt. After God cast many horrid plagues upon Egypt, He decided to cast one more, through Moses his servant. So God told Moses to tell Pharoah, that he would cast a great plague, upon all the land of Egypt, killing all the firstborn sons. The only way to prevent this "spirit of death", from "passing over" was to put lambs blood over the doorway of your house. In the end, there were many outcries in the land of Egypt (even in the palace, for the Pharohs son also died), for those who didn't follow the commandment of the lambs blood, lost their firstborn sons, and many Egyptian men died. This is the reason, the jewish (along with others) celebrate Passover, because God spared them, and "passed over" their households.
